RetroRealms: Ash vs Evil Dead lets you step into a vibrant 16-bit pixel art world, as the legendary horror hero Ash Williams. Here, you’ll face off against relentless Deadite hordes in a series of action-packed platformer levels.  

Play as Ash Williams 

Set in a pixelated rendition of the Evil Dead: The Game universe, RetroRealms: Ash vs Evil Dead follows Ash Williams on yet another demon-slaying spree. The game opens with Ash unintentionally releasing an ancient evil from the Necronomicon, setting the stage for mayhem. With Deadites crawling out of every dark corner, Ash must once again wield his chainsaw and boomstick to save the world from destruction. 

The game retains the campy, over-the-top charm of the original films and TV series. Ash, voiced by Bruce Campbell, delivers his iconic one-liners with perfect timing, making each encounter with the Deadites as humorous as it is gory. At its core, the game is a side-scrolling action game that combines elements of platforming and beat-’em-up battle mechanics in one gameplay.  

Players control Ash as he battles through hordes of Deadites, using a mix of melee attacks with his chainsaw and ranged attacks with his boom stick. The game has a variety of weapons and upgrades Ash can find. As players progress, they can unlock new abilities, such as a flamethrower arm or enhanced chainsaw combos, making Ash an even more formidable force. However, players may find themselves fighting similar waves of Deadites with limited enemy variety.

RetroRealms: Ash vs Evil Dead is a love letter to both retro gaming and the Evil Dead: The Game series. This game lets you play as Ash Williams where your mission is to fight off demons. Here, you’ll use side-scrolling battle mechanics, with elements of platforming and beat-’em-up. There is also a wide range of weapons and upgrades that you can use throughout the game.
